Sollo Data is our Chrome extension for creator research. It works only after you connect it to your Sollo account and agree to the data use described on the connection screen. This section describes what the extension collects and how we use it.
What the extension sends to Sollo
- When you click Analyze on a creator's profile or channel page, the extension reads the public data on that page (such as the name, handle, follower or subscriber counts, links, and the titles, view counts, dates and lengths of recent videos or posts) and sends it to Sollo to calculate the estimate. No profile data is sent until you click Analyze.
- When you analyze a profile, the extension also sends the address of the creator's public profile picture, on every supported platform including Fanvue and OnlyFans. Sollo downloads that picture from the platform and stores its own copy (see below).
- When you click Save to Sollo, the extension tells Sollo to add that creator to the saved creators in your account. Clicking it again removes the creator.
- On supported sites, the extension checks with Sollo whether your account is connected and has an active plan. This check does not include the page you are on.
- To read a YouTube channel, the extension loads that channel's public pages from YouTube without your YouTube cookies or account. On some platforms it may load the creator's public profile page in the background, also without your cookies, so the analysis has complete data.
- On YouTube, the extension notes in your browser when ads play on a channel's videos. When you analyze that channel, it sends the time ads were last seen (within the last 90 days), which helps estimate whether the channel is monetized.
- Your extension sign-in token, so we can confirm your account and plan.
What stays in your browser
- Feed filters, view counters, video statistics, title patterns, thumbnail tools and frame capture work entirely in your browser from data the page has already loaded. They send nothing to Sollo.
- The extension stores its sign-in token, your recent analysis times (used for rate limits) and ad sightings (kept up to 90 days) in Chrome's local extension storage, and your filter settings in Chrome sync storage.
- The extension does not read your private messages, passwords, payment details or the private data of your own social media accounts, and it does not track pages you visit outside the supported creator platforms.
How we use and store it
- We use this data only to provide the extension's features: earnings estimates, monetization signals, changes since an earlier analysis and your saved creators.
- Public profile data and estimates are stored per creator profile. Analyses from all users of a public profile build that profile's shared history, which improves change tracking and estimates. Other users never see who analyzed a profile.
- The creator's public profile picture is stored once with that shared profile data, so we do not link to the platform's own image addresses. It is kept for as long as the shared profile data is. No other images or media from the page are stored.
- Creators you save are stored in your account, linked to the shared profile data, until you remove them on the Saved creators page or in the extension, or delete your account. Other users never see which creators you saved.
- We keep a record of which account submitted each analysis to prevent abuse. This link is removed when your account is deleted.
- The raw page data sent with an analysis is deleted after 12 months. Processed profile data and estimates are kept to provide history.
- Sign-in tokens expire after 90 days. You can disconnect the extension at any time in Account Settings, which revokes its token.
Limited Use
- The use of information received from the extension will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness. We do not transfer it to third parties except the service providers listed in this policy to run the service, as required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
- People at Sollo do not read this data except with your consent, for security or abuse investigations, or to comply with the law.
